I’m Kalya, a New York City-based psychologist licensed in NY and CT, specializing in therapy for adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and high-pressure environments. As a Black Japanese American woman, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and deeply lived experience to the complexities of multicultural identity, family dynamics, and systemic stressors. Having personally navigated the weight of being "othered" and the cognitive overload of balancing intense spaces, I am passionate about helping clients break their silence and build deep self-understanding.     I offer every new client a free consultation. It’s your chance to ask any questions and see what it’s like to work together.

    If you decide we’re a good fit, we’ll have a therapy intake session. This hour together will allow us to go deeper into what brings you to therapy.

    Ongoing sessions are 45-50 minutes. Your therapy sessions are tailored to your unique challenges, offering a supportive space to gain insight, build skills, and create change.
